Product Development Process Case Study
Presented here is the new EM Super-Jet Printing Press, a two-color press with 6 inch cylinders for envelopes and a multi-purpose envelope feeder. Vertex's was responsible for the design and engineering of all plastic and sheet metal parts and exterior covers design. The engineering was driven by ergonomics for good user interface with the press.

As part of the EM series Vertex Product Development Inc. was also responsible for the Jet EM Printing Press, a two-color printing press with 3 cylinders for envelopes with a Dual-Feeder option. The objective in this effort was to use as many common parts as possible with the EM Super-Jet press in order to lower stock and minimize part numbers in the BOM (Bill of Material), while creating a new product for the EM press family.
